Site Updates (2013)

• November 5, 2013: Scans of 16 different reviews and blurbs/product announcements were added to the Reviews section of the FX literature index, along with scans of four new ads
  
  
• September 18, 2013: Once more, no update yet of this site... but on Sept. 16, HARMAN's DigiTech announced the rebirth of DOD as the "original boutique brand", with limited-edition re-issues of the Overdrive Preamp 250 (out next month!) and Phasor 201 (coming soon). We will be very interested to hear how well these new versions (now with true-bypass switching, among other features) compare to the original pedals from the 1970s. Check the newly re-designed official DOD website for more information.
  
  
• August 25, 2013: No update of this site, but Steve A. alerted us that, "If you haven't logged on to the DOD website lately (clear any cookies/cache), they are giving the impression of a DOD relaunch with a throwback logo and mailing list sign up. Check it out!" The official DOD website hadn't changed since the YJM-308 was discontinued in 2009; hopefully, the relaunch will be something cool!
  
  
• July 26, 2013: Photographs of two ads (the first DOD Performer-series ad, and one introducing the FX54 Attacker), and photographs of DOD's January 1993 catalog, were added to the FX literature index. In addition, scans of two published interviews with DOD engineer Jason Lamb (who designed the FX69 Grunge pedal, among many others) were added to a new section, DOD History.
  
  
• May 1, 2013: Photographs of two ads (perhaps the first DOD ad ever, from 1978, and one with the DFX9) were added to the Advertisements section of the FX literature index
  
  
• March 6, 2013: Photographs of three ads (DOD 680 and 690, plus "Heavy Machinery" Grunge) were added to the Advertisements section of the FX literature index
  
  
• February 2013: Just as we finally started to update pedal pages with the new arbitrarily-named links to user reviews at Harmony Central 2.0 (for example, see the FX13 page), HC decided to delete all user reviews. As HC is owned by Musician's Friend, one could understand their aversion to the risk that a gear manufacturer might be offended by an unreasonably negative review of a new item (even though it would also make them look like craven weasels). However, the deletion of user reviews from vintage/discontinued products is just mind-bogglingly stupid. If HC is counting on their (current) NAMM coverage and support from their twice-screwed-over forums to survive... well, good luck with that.
  
  
• January 17, 2013: Photographs of two old DOD price lists (from the late 1970s and from 1981) plus a 1986 DigiTech info sheet were added to the Catalogs section, and two ads (PRC-6 and PDS 1700) were added to the Advertisements section of the FX literature index
