FX100 Integrated Tube Even Harmonic Overdrive from mid-1996, with original box

The FX100 Integrated Tube Even Harmonic Overdrive was introduced at Summer NAMM 1996, along with the FX101 Grind distortion pedal. Sharing the same circuitboard as the FX101, the FX100 was voiced to emulate Marshall tube distortion, but compared to the FX101 it is closer to an overdrive rather than a distortion pedal. In a first for DOD, the FX100 and FX101 also included a speaker emulator output jack, for plugging directly into a mixing board or a recorder. Although the FX100 was well-received, it was discontinued in 1998 as DOD revised their effects pedal lineup.

• From the manual: "The FX 100 I.T. (Integrated Tube)^TM isn't just an overdrive distortion, it has special circuitry that adds even harmonics, emulating tube overdrive distortion. All of the dynamics of an overdriven amp are present. The distortion will 'clean up' when playing softer, and to get a really aggressive tone, get an aggressive forearm. Since the tone controls 'LOWS' and 'HIGHS' are centered at popular amp frequencies, this pedal sounds like a preamp, not a pedal. As an added bonus, the FX100 now gives you the ability to run straight to the board with the speaker emulation direct out jack."
